The Parent Teacher Association facilitates parental involvement in the school. All parents of children and the teachers in the school are automatically members of the association.
Our Parent Teacher Association at Navan Educate Together National School gives a voice to parents and teachers within the school community to actively participate in the development and running of the school.
The PTA has a committee of 4 elected positions (Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer and Secretary). The committee also includes a class representative for every class, a teacher representative and parent representatives from the Board of Management.
We have a constitution that provides operational structure.
We are always looking for help and volunteers. If you’d like to help out, let us know — you can do as little or as much as you like. Even if you can only take part in a minor way, your help is appreciated.
We plan and run events in the school for the benefit of the children and their families and some of these are fundraising events for the school. The blog below shows some of the recent events and antics!
The success of our events is directly linked to the voluntary contributions of our parent group. There is a WhatsApp group for keeping all active volunteers up to date and informed of upcoming events. At NETNS we also try to foster an environment where the parents have a chance to mix and socialise.
Meetings are held once a month. We have an evening session and a morning session each month to try and facilitate options for parents as we realise family life can be busy and demanding. The meetings are typically held on the third week of each month, Wednesday evening and then Thursday morning. All parents are welcome to participate at any stage. Click here to see the PTA Calendar.
