Getting messy with clay!

This month the children are working with clay in Art. Last week they made and painted their clay pots and this week they will be making clay monsters! Looking forward to seeing their monsters come to life!

Plants & Animals

This week we were reading ‘The Tiny Seed’ by Eric Carle. A sunflower features near the end of the story so all the children created their own sunflowers using paper plates and paint . We also learned about the parts of a plant ( stem, roots, leaves, seeds)

Captivated Composers

We have been having a wonderful time in 4th Class composing our very own song with Alun from Music Generation. The children have written the lyrics and composed the music themselves and have been spending the last few weeks turning the classroom into a recording studio. We can’t wait for you to hear ‘Tropical Trees’!

Baking with our buddies

Sixth class loved baking with their buddies before Spring break. They love spending time with the infants and the sixth class get as much out of the sessions as the smaller children! Thank you to the infant teachers, Catherine and Eimear for letting us join in the fun!
