Game Changers

At the begining of January the children in sixth class had a visit from Niall Quillinan from TrĂ³caire. Niall is an eduaction officer with TrĂ³caire and he visits schools to discuss how children can get involved with the game changers programme. This programme encourages children to design their own board game based on gobal issues. The children were then spilt into teams and they worked hard over two months to design their games. We posted off three board games before the Spring break. We were delighted to receive an email telling us one of our games ‘Path of Palestine’ had reached the final out of over 220 games. The children went to the Helix in Dublin to present their game to the other finalists. It was a fantastic day and the children were great representitives for our school. Well done girls and boys!
